Happy Valentines Day!

🌿 Hello again cannabis friends! 🌿 Cannabis has been around and consumed for MANY years, but did you know that cannabis can have an effect on a persons sexual pleasure?!? I love learning about the cannabis plant and how it can be helpful medicinally, but I was awestruck to read about how cannabis can be helpful when it comes to our private bedroom activities 🫢😍. It's really amazing to see all the different aspects that cannabis can be useful for!

As a nurse I have been focused on how cannabis can be helpful for certain ailments, (just think of how many people you know that are dealing with blood pressure, cholesterol or blood sugar issues, cannabis could help with them!) as well as providing education on potential interactions cannabis might have with prescription medications. But we are not only made up of the chronic conditions we have, we have an inherent need to experience life and its pleasures. Wouldn't it be awesome if there was a natural plant out there that could help us experience life's pleasures?! In the short time researching cannabis for sexual pleasure, I really see how cannabis could be useful!

The research article that made the biggest impression on me today was written last year by researchers who were looking at how cannabis can influence sexual functioning and satisfaction (that's the name of the article as well). You should be able to also read this article by following the link in my reference list below. I would definitely encourage you to read that article, but this sentence really blew my mind: "While more than 90% of men usually experience orgasm during sex, less than 50% of women regularly experience orgasm through intercourse and only 6% reported always experiencing an orgasm during sex" 🫢🤯 I also learned a new term with this article: orgasm inequality, which after reading that one sentence makes total sense. But don't be despaired, this same article highlights how cannabis can can be sexually stimulating. To quickly summarize their findings, cannabis has been shown to be a muscle relaxant and because of this property has been shown to influence sexual function in women for the positive as well as increase sexual satisfaction. Interestingly enough, cannabis can actually inhibit sexual function in males because it is a muscle relaxant....

So if you are a woman researching ways to increase your satisfaction in the bedroom, maybe cannabis can help. There's so many different methods of consuming cannabis that even if you don't like smoking/vaping, there's a way to use it in these situations. If you're local to NW Oklahoma there's a product line in dispensaries that are solely dedicated to bedroom activities, Savage box is the name I believe. I'll try and tag them on FB if you're interested in trying their products. I hope this blog was informative for you. Let me know in the comments your thoughts on cannabis and sexual pleasure/health. Also, if there are any other cannabis topics that you would like to learn about, let me know. I'd love to learn more about cannabis and hear from you guys. However and whoever you choose to spend today with, I hope you have a happy Valentine's Day! 🌿💚
